 Dominican Republic
Dominican Republic
The first tourist here was Christopher Columbus in 1492, when he proclaimed, "This is the fairest land under Heaven". Since then it has developed into a diverse destination offering both Dominican and European flavours. At 10,000 feet, it is home to the highest mountain range in the entire Caribbean and offers some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The beautiful Punta Cana shoreline is protected by law, ensuring that no manmade structure can detract from the natural beauty of these calm tranquil beaches that are perfect for those who love to enjoy their favourite watersports and sample the great diving.

Punta Cana is famous for its European style hotels and shopping for traditional local arts and crafts. Its golf courses are second to none. This is a real place for vegging out: miles of silky-fine white sand and deserted beaches with coconut palms. La Romana, Dominicus is an excellent choice for rest and relaxation holidays,
honeymoons, family holidays, family reunions, teenagers, active travellers, scuba divers and golfers. Along the cobblestone streets and hidden in the numerous shaded courtyards of Altos De Chavon, visitors will find a tantalizing array of art galleries and shops.

Enjoy world-class championship golf courses, explore the archaeological museum, play in the waves or relax under a swaying palm on powder sand beaches. The Dominican people love a good party, with their traditional music and hospitable culture being the inspiration for many of their festivals.
