Cuba

One of the world's most fascinating destinations, Cuba has something for everyone, from its stunning colonial architecture, UNESCO preserved habitats, breathtaking scenery and a wealth of unspoilt tropical beaches. Cuba has a tropical climate, with warm, humid weather all year long, though cold temperatures have occured in the mountains before. Being surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico, Cuba has warm water year round, with winter water temperatures at 24C, spring and fall temperatures at 26C and summer temperatures at 28C.

Havana: Havana is one of the most fascinating cities in the world. The antidote to homogenized culture, the Caribbean's largest city is one of charm and contradictions. The restored Spanish Colonial Habana Vieja contrasts with the faded grandeur and dilapidation in much of the rest of the city. Five centuries of architectural heritage, cobbled streets, palms swaying in a tropical breeze, and an all-round beguiling ambiance, all combine to make an irresistible destination. Don't miss verdant Vedado, a laid-back neighborhood of cultural institutions, restaurants and bars.

Varadero: Varadero is located on the 18 kilometre peninsula of Punta Hicacos and is famous for its virtually uninterrupted stretch of white sandy beaches with powder soft sands lapped by waters of the Kawama Channel. Resort hotels teem along the shore that U.S. celebrities and gangsters, including Capone, discovered in the 1920s. Clubs and bars provide mojitos and merriment, after long days baking on the beach, golfing, diving or deep sea fishing. Rent a scooter or hop aboard an open-air tourist train or bus to see more of this stunning spot. Caves, keys and virgin forest add to the area's allure. With a wide choice of hotels, Varadero is an excellent beach destination that can cater for both the most relaxed and the more energetic visitor.
